Sec­tors such as au­to­mo­biles, ce­ment, steel, pa­per, alu­minium and fer­tilis­ers, which had the low­est ca­pac­ity util­i­sa­tion and were on a spe­cial fo­cus by the gov­ern­ment. An­nounce­ments like

`39,61,354 to­tal al­lo­ca­tion of crore on in­fra­struc­ture de­vel­op­ment, de­vel­op­ment of se­lected air­ports in Tier II & III cities on PPP mode, etc. Ex­pen­di­ture on in­fra­struc­ture for im­prov­ing coastal road con­nec­tiv­ity from ports to the hin­ter­land, ex­pand­ing rail­way con­nec­tiv­ity, in­tro­duc­ing end-to-end in­te­grated trans­port so­lu­tions in part­ner­ship with lo­gis­tics play­ers, and en­cour­ag­ing PPP for air­port de­vel­op­ments in cer­tain smaller cities. In-di­rect boosts such as (a) higher out­lay on high­ways; (b) sup­port for MSMEs through a re­duced in­come tax and (c) boost­ing money in hands of in­di­vid­u­als through lower in­come tax. The gov­ern­ment took the onus of set­ting up 100 In­dia-In­ter­na­tional skill cen­tres to ad­dress the is­sue of skilled labour in In­dia. 2.41 lakh crore to­wards the trans­port sec­tor (road, rail and ship­ping).
