Celebi Delhi Cargo Terminal Management has completed the accreditation of Aviation Security Training Institute (ASTI) by the India’s National Aviation Security Regulator BCAS (Bureau of Civil Aviation Security) and has formally opened the training institute. With the operationalisation of the institute the company will be able to give Aviation Security training and certification accredited by Civil Aviation Security Regulator-BCAS as per ‘NCASTP - National Civil Aviation Security Training Programme’. The chief guest of the launch was K Rajesh Chandra, Director General, BCAS. He says, “Security protocols are not good in cargo as compared to passenger. This initiative is welcome. Security is generally considered as non-productive, but it needs to be realised that security is non-negotiable.” Speaking at the launch ceremony, Ramesh Mamidala, CEO, Celebi Delhi Cargo Terminal Management India, says, “With a smart and effective investment, we are now an authorised ASTI. We have built up the security training institute as per BCAS requirement. The institute will be a part of Celebi Global Academy.”
