Japan’s Kaneka to set up polyolefin production plant in Thailand
Corp, Japan, is setting up a new plant to produce expanded polyolefin foam (under the product names EPERAN and EPERAN-PP) in Hemaraj Eastern Seaboard Industrial Estate, Rayong, Thailand. It aims at a further business expansion as well as meeting the increasing demand in the Southeast Asia and India region.
Kaneka will invest approximately 2 billion yen to start operation capable of producing 3,000 metric tons per year (m.t./yr) of products in September 2018. The production capacity in the region will be over 6,000 m.t./yr, together with products produced in the existing facilities in Malaysia (Kaneka Eperan Sdn. Bhd.)
