Dynea an­nounces suc­cess­ful com­mis­sion­ing & start-up of new formalde­hyde plant

Dynea an­nounced the suc­cess­ful com­ple­tion of the Per­for­mance guar­an­tee run and com­mence­ment of com­mer­cial op­er­a­tions for its lat­est Sil­ver Formalde­hyde Plant FASIL li­cense to SAMAC - a JV be­tween SABIC

® and Mit­subishi Chem­i­cal Cor­po­ra­tion.

The plant lo­cated on the Ibn Sina site in Jubail, KSA is ca­pa­ble of pro­duc­ing 105.000 met­ric-ton an­nual ca­pac­ity (cal­cu­lated as formalde­hyde 100% per weight) and will de­liver 55% formalde­hyde so­lu­tion for the man­u­fac­tur­ing of MMA. The Dynea Formalde­hyde Sil­ver plant li­censed to SAMAC has a 250.000 met­ric-ton an­nual ca­pac­ity and is us­ing the world-class Lucite In­ter­na­tional’s Al­pha MMA Tech­nol­ogy. The proven FASIL sil­ver tech­nol­ogy

® which has the low­est to­tal op­er­a­tional cost and re­garded as the safest way of pro­duc­ing formalde­hyde li­censed by Dynea has al­ready been suc­cess­fully in­stalled at more than 40 plants world­wide.
