Group Corp has ac­quired ac­tive pack­ag­ing tech­nol­ogy com­pany Mul­ti­sorb Tech­nolo­gies. US-based Mul­ti­sorb is a global provider of sor­bent so­lu­tions that man­age mois­ture, oxy­gen, odour and volatile or­ganic com­pounds for a wide range of pack­ag­ing for­mats. Mul­ti­sorb em­ploys more than 450 peo­ple across five fa­cil­i­ties in the US and In­dia.

Ac­cord­ing to a re­port in Hy­dro­car­bon Pro­cess­ing, SABIC aims to have a sig­nif­i­cant stake (50%) in OPaL.

Saudi Aramco re­cently signed an ini­tial deal with In­dia to buy a 50% stake in a planned 1.2 mil­lion bar­rels per day west coast re­fin­ery and petro­chem­i­cal project. To ex­pand its foot­print in the world’s third-big­gest oil im­porter, Saudi Ara­bia is also scout­ing for a stake in ex­ist­ing ma­jor re­finer­ies, its en­ergy min­is­ter Khalid al-Falih has said.
