Urbane, polished and cl a s s y, Bh u s h a n Pradhan is every journalist’s dream subject. In an exclusive with Citadel, Bhushan opens up on life, cinema and more… Tell us about your rst tryst with acting. Oh, I began acting at the age of 8! My rst encounter was with the stage; it all started with this play called Vaddivshachi Bhet. The play was about lack of good parenting and the effects it could have on the psychology of the child. On the day of the play, a lot of parents broke down at my performance; that was and will remain one of my nest rewards as an actor. That’s something! Moving onto the industry, recount your initial days for us. That is altogether one different story. During my initial days, I was nearly always nervous around my co-star, which denitely is an issue when it comes to giving a good performance. But with time, I learnt that once you are open about learning, people are willing to help you. So, I began approaching my seniors with queries I might have, and the help that I received was overwhelming. Today, I share a great rapport with all my seniors and co-stars, and that shows in my performances.
