Abeau­ti­fully de­signed rooftop restau­rant in Bhosari MIDC, Azu of­fers the per­fect am­biance for a dreamy din­ner date. Planned with a Greek t heme, this charm­ing eatery lets you gaze across the hori­zon at the city sky, while sip­ping some of their sig­na­ture drinks or dig­ging into their fu­sion fare. Ra­jib Das, the Op­er­a­tions Man­ager, is our will­ing host, who tells us more about Azu’s USP. “At Azu, we like to of­fer a wide va­ri­ety of bev­er­ages, both al­co­holic and mock­tails, along with mouth-wa­ter­ing global cui­sine. Each of the dishes on our menu have been care­fully hand­picked to mir­ror the hottest trends i n t he shift­ing food scene,” he ex­plains, just as our mock­tails for the evening ar­rive. The vi­brant hues of the sum­mery peach beverage per­fectly mir­ror the set­ting sun, ef­fec­tively cool­ing and re­fresh­ing your palate. The smart ad­di­tion of mint leaves only adds to the fresh­ness that is ideal to beat the balmy May heat. The ex­cit­ing menu at Azu com­prises of so many in­ter­est­ing starters, that we just had to sam­ple some of their best sell­ers. As an in­ter­est­ing ap­pe­tizer, we were rst prof­fered the Azu Chaat Sam­pler. Quiz the chef about this cre­ation and he quickly ex­plains that the idea be­hind de­vis­ing this fu­sion sam­pler was to in­tro­duce a num­ber of un­con­ven­tional avours. The sweet potato Papdi Chaat in­trigues the palate, as it is an un­usual choice in Puneri Also, the Pa­pad Churi is an­other prepa­ra­tion of as­sorted that makes an ap­petis­ing But the real hero is the Orange Pani Poori! A cu­ri­ous ad­di­tion, it has you in for a sur­prise as it prof­fers an inim­itable taste. This stun­ning plat­ter takes plat­ing to an­other level, while the tiny por­tions make the per­fect mouth­fuls to kick off a fab­u­lous din­ner. As we dig into t he ap­pe­tis­ers, Das talks about loyal Azu pa­trons. “We pride our­selves in be­ing able to cater to the dy­namic tastes of youth, as well as the cor­po­rate clien­tele.
