Can tension lead to physical illness?

Citadel - - SPIRITUALITY -

A number of physical illnesses are caused by tension. They range from anxiety, headaches to ulcers. Dr. Guirdham, the author of Cosmic Factors in Disease, has written another book that is titled Obsession. In this book, Dr. Guirdham tells us that tension is the root cause of several diseases, including asthma, duodenal ulcers, migraine, malfunctioning of the colon and certain forms of epilepsy. Besides, tension always leads to insomnia or sleeplessness. As a result, the demand for sleeping pills keeps on growing by day. Sleep is a natural, restorative process. After a day’s work, a person should be able to sleep peacefully. But, today, in many of our cities, people have sleepless nights.
