IMPARTING MANAGING SKILLS
Our Event Partner for the CITADEL EXTRAVAGANZA, NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF EVENT MANAGEMENT (NIEM) is really at the top of its game in imparting a sound practical education to the next-gen of event managers in the country.
National Institute of Event Management (NIEM) was formed to cater to the growing needs of the huge multi-dimensioned event management industry in India. Research showed that there was no formalised education to teach event management. It took a painstaking three years research by Dr Hoshi Bhiwandiwalla and his team to start a course on event management. This gave birth to National Institute of Event Management (NIEM), an autonomous institute, which readily got overwhelming support from the media (print and satellite), event industry, entertainment industry and students. Besides being the rst institute in Asia to start event management as a study, NIEM has gone a long way, adding accolades to its achievement list. The main credentials of NIEM is that the institute has a trustworthy brand name in event and educational circles all over the world. The worldclass faculty is unmatched; the institute sends its students for training to over 700 events in a year. Alongside, NIEM does in-house events, a sports meet, a roaring party, annual day, college idol and beauty pageant Mr & Ms University, which teach NIEM students to organise a mega class event. These in-house events give NIEM students a real edge over other students, with hands-on event management experience, which develops the event organisational skills of students. With all this rich experience, NIEM students get easily placed and many form their own successful event management companies. It has an association with reputed organizations like CII, EMAI, FICCI, Ad Club, and is the only event management institute in the country to be recognized by the International Special Events Society (ISES), International Festival and Events Association (IFEA) and TAFE (Govt. of South Australia). Last but not the least, it is the only institute to appear on a foreign website for world rankings in events.
