Vande Matram is about singing the praises of a motherland. If we are growing in the soil of our motherland, then what is wrong in singing the song and praising it? This song has nothing to do with religion. It is for singing and remembering the glory of sung and unsung heroes who worked tirelessly for the country. Every morning, we start our day with a prayer so we can pray for our motherland too. The Court has also stated that if you don’t want to sing the song, give a valid reason for it. According to me, nationalism is not imposition, but it’s a celebration of one’s motherland. We (Indians) are living in a free country, and we should show some gratitude towards our freedom ghters.
