A brief look on all our associates & partners for the CITADEL EXTRAVAGANZA 2017
‘Inspirations’ is a PR company founded by Roop and Usha Karnani in September 1999. The company has been named after their only daughter, Prerna, which means inspiration, who has been their lucky mascot ever since she was born. Today, 18 years down the line, Usha continues the journey, after the sudden and sad demise of Roop recently, handling PR for multinationals, engineering companies, IT companies, construction houses, hospitals, hotels, gyms, charitable missions, and even celebrities! Over the years, they have organised over 900 conferences, not just in Pune, but even Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Chennai, Coimbatore, Chandigarh, Ahmedabad, Gurgaon, Nasik, Nagpur, Aurangabad, Satara, Sangli, to name some. That’s not all - in the past six years they have had three successful events in Dubai, the most recent in April 2013, on a bateaux (a French glass boat), where a Limca World Record was created. It was for the rst time that the press conference was held on a bateaux, with print and electronic media from India and UAE, to celebrate the completion of 30 successful years in UAE, of their Dubai client. In fact, the rst event in Dubai for the same client was a press conference, which was held on a Royal Jet, which hovered over UAE for three hours, with print and electronic media. This too created a Limca World Record. “We have had the privilege of inviting the likes of Amitabh Bachchan, Sushmita Sen, Lara Dutta, Sir Cliff Richard OBE, Shashi Kapoor, Sharmila Tagore, Jackie Shroff, Suneil Shetty, Saroj Khan, Tusshar Kapoor, Tarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’s Tapu team, the Baalveer team, and many more,” says Usha. Continuing further, she adds, “We have also covered musical concerts of Ghazal maestros Ghulam Ali, Jagjit Singh and Javed Ali. We have had organised a charity show of Sabka Malik Ek Hai, a three-hour play on the life of Sai Baba of Shirdi.” Both Roop and Usha were journalists - Roop was a business journalist, while Usha was a lifestyle journalist. “Having been on the other side of the fence, as journalists, we as PR people understand the difculties, the deadlines and the requirements of media people, and that has helped us establish a wonderful rapport with them. Had it not been for the support of the media, especially Pune media, we would not have achieved the success that we enjoy today,” says Ms Karnani thankfully.
