50 CCTVs to be In­stalled at Khadki Can­ton­ment Board

The Khadki Can­ton­ment Board (KCB) will be in­stalling 50 closed-cir­cuit tele­vi­sion (CCTV) cam­eras in its lim­its for se­cu­rity and safety pur­poses. Thus, the num­ber of CCTV cam­eras in­stalled will rise to 110. Amol Jag­tap, Chief Ex­ec­u­tive Ofcer, KCB, said, “We plan to in­stall CCTV cam­eras at busy and sen­si­tive spots to en­hance safety and se­cu­rity in the area. A sur­vey will be con­ducted to iden­tify such spots in the can­ton­ment lim­its.” The KCB will need three months to com­plete the sur­vey and the ten­der process, fol­low­ing which the cam­eras will be in­stalled. “We ex­pect the cam­eras’ in­stal­la­tion work to be com­pleted in six months from now,” Jag­tap said.
