Citadel - - FLASHBACK -

Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has been given an ultimatum by the Maratha Aarakshan Sangharsh Samiti to fulfil their demands by May 8, failing which they will carry out a state-wide agitation. Several Maratha organizations held a round table conference in Kolhapur recently, which passed five resolutions, out of which one accused the Chief Minister for causing unwanted rifts within the Maratha community by making false and empty promises. One of the major resolutions passed was the scrapping of the Annasaheb Patil Vikas Mahamandal, set up to help poor Maratha students with financial help. Nothing has been done so far by the trust. They also said that the ministers would not be allowed to enter their areas for campaigning for next year’s Lok Sabha elections if their demands are not fulfilled.
