Future in sight
Watching India’s leading commercial vehicle major Tata Motors unveil a slew of next gen products is heart warming. In the country that is burdened with a population of 1.36 billion and still counting, ensuring efficient, integrated travel still remains a tedious task. Buses are still the face of mass transport in India and need to contribute to a greener tomorrow. Especially in metro cities like Delhi, Mumbai and Bengaluru. Alternate propulsion mediums have gained a lot of accolades outside India and I believe it won’t be far off when one would be able to see electric, fuel cell and hybrid buses vying for a place of pride on Indian roads. Any reduction in battery costs will only set the course for better and exciting technologies.
