My sis­ter’s lehenga was dam­aged by White Tiger dry clean­ing de­spite men­tion­ing thrice on the bill that it needed to be pro­cessed with care. In my last con­ver­sa­tion with them, they of­fered Rs 9,000 along with dam­aged lehenga de­spite know­ing its orig­i­nal cost was Rs 55,000, as was clearly men­tioned in their in­voice. While the com­pen­sa­tion of­fered is way too low, they cer­tainly can­not un­der­stand the emo­tional at­tach­ment with the dress – my sis­ter bought it with her first salary. She also had to miss an im­por­tant wed­ding as no other dress could be ar­ranged in the last minute. This left my sis­ter so dis­turbed that our par­ents had to travel all the way from Aligarh to Delhi. The staff at White Tiger is al­ways rude and shows ir­re­spon­si­ble be­hav­ior, with no re­gret about the dam­age. We have even told them that they may com­pen­sate by buy­ing the same lehenga in­stead of com­pen­sat­ing with cash, but they pay no heed. Prab­hat Saubhri
