Power consumption was measured under three conditions: ‘idle’ (5 minutes after printing), ‘standby’ (30 minutes after printing, allowing the printer to enter a power-save mode), and ‘off’ (using the hard power switch if provided.)
On models intended for use only at 110 V, 60 Hz, or 220 V, 50 Hz, power was measured only under those conditions. On models with universal power supplies, power was measured at 110 V, 60 Hz and at 220 V, 50 Hz.
Brands Canon CLASS MF6160dw, Dell B1165nfw, Epson and HP Envy 4500 and Deskjet 2540 were toppers.
Dell C2665dnf and C2660dn did not perform that well.
