Mere loss of the orig­i­nal will does not op­er­ate a re­vo­ca­tion but it has to be in­fer­ring by the strin­gent ev­i­dence to prove its re­vo­ca­bil­ity and a tes­ta­tor must show the gen­uine rea­sons for the loss of the will. Once it is proved that an orig­i­nal will is lost, then the ‘sub­se­quent will’ will be valid.
