My mo­bile hand­set has been with the Xolo ser­vice cen­tre for last 40 days. I have been con­stantly fol­low­ing up re­gard­ing its sta­tus, but not get­ting sat­is­fac­tory an­swers. In my last meet­ing with the tech­ni­cal head at the ser­vice cen­tre at Noida, I was told that Xolo had no spare part (LCD of Xolo q1000s) and so they would re­place my LCD screen with a lower-com­pat­i­bil­ity LCD screen. I agreed to that too, but I am yet to get the re­paired hand­set back. I have vis­ited the company’s of­fice in Gur­gaon too, but no ac­tion has been taken by them as yet. I bought the phone for Rs 17,000 and it is still within the war­ranty pe­riod. What ac­tion can I take against them? Ro­hit Pandey We have writ­ten to the company, clearly telling them that they are not se­ri­ous in re­solv­ing the com­plaint of the con­sumer and only drag­ging the is­sue till the war­ranty pe­riod ex­pires. We have in­formed the company that even if the war­ranty pe­riod ex­pires, the con­sumer will have the right to claim dues from the company. You have a strong case to ap­peal in con­sumer fo­rum if the company does not take ac­tion sooner.
