Cadbury Temptations – Rum Raisins

Consumer Voice - - Consumer Experience -

The packaging was impressive and I read the label with care. I was not a bit surprised to smell rum in the chocolate after reading ‘contains added flavour’. So, before I could even taste it, I had to get over the sharp smell of rum. Hoping that there were enough raisins in it and that rum was not the only flavour in this composite chocolate bar, I bit into the 72 grams of this bar. The bite will remain quite a memory! It was akin to old wine in a new bottle, with a few pieces of small-sized raisins and a whole lot of rum flavour added to it. A synthetic feel on the palate lingered on for a while. I have started to think that differentiation is only being achieved by differential packaging. Quite a disappointment for a rum lover!

Though boasting of nothing new, this very good-looking bar does catch attention on the shelf. Not recommended for anyone expecting anything close to real rum in the chocolate. The artificial flavouring came quite close to making the chocolate unpalatable. I would not spend Rs 80 on this bar.
