Med­i­cal treat­ment: Steroids and an­ti­his­tamines are the first line of treat­ment given by doc­tors if the symp­toms are se­vere. How­ever, re­mem­ber that no med­i­ca­tion can cure food al­ler­gies, so treat­ment usu­ally means avoid­ing the al­ler­gen and all the foods that con­tain it. Elim­i­na­tion diet: Elim­i­na­tion diet in­volves re­moval of the spe­cific foods or in­gre­di­ents from the diet which could be pro­duc­ing al­lergy symp­toms. This could also be planned at the time of start­ing the wean­ing process. Com­mon al­lergy-caus­ing foods in­clude milk, eggs, nuts, wheat, and soy.
