Road safety-focused meet
On 9 June 2017, international experts and Global Road Safety Partnership’s (GRSP) Indian road safety collaborators came together in Mumbai to applaud the progress that the Government of India had made in improving road safety following the passage of the Motor Vehicles Amendment Bill 2017 in Lok Sabha. In the course of the meeting, participants shared ideas on the best way forward based on lessons learned from around the world.
The event witnessed the participation of Dave Cliff, CEO of Global Road Safety Partnership, Kelly Larson, program director at Bloomberg Philanthropies, Jess Truong, programmes director & Asia Pacific Coordinator at Global National Car Assessment Program (NCAP), and Soames Job, Global Road Safety Lead, World Bank. Chief operating officer of Consumer Voice Ashim Sanyal also participated in the event and appreciated the passage of Motor Vehicles Amendment Bill 2017 in Lok Sabha.
