• Never dis­close your card per­sonal iden­ti­fi­ca­tion num­ber (PIN) to any­one. Do not write your pin on the card or any­where vis­i­ble to any­one. If some­one calls to seek in­for­ma­tion, im­me­di­ately block that phone num­ber and in­form the po­lice (lodge an FIR). • Go for cash-on-de­liv­ery op­tion if such a fa­cil­ity

is avail­able for e-com­merce trans­ac­tions. • Do not choose the op­tion given in ecom­merce

sites to save card de­tails. • While stand­ing be­fore an ATM ma­chine, al­ways opt for bal­ance en­quiry op­tion first to know if there is any­thing wrong/amiss (wires stick­ing out) in the ATM ma­chine, be­fore go­ing for cash with­drawal. If you lose your credit card, im­me­di­ately ring up the toll-free num­ber and block the card as soon as pos­si­ble. • •
