Coat hair with vo­lu­miser ( we love the L’oréal Pro­fes­sion­nel Tecni Art Full Vol­ume Mousse, here), says Jenny Cho, a Suave Pro­fes­sion­als stylist. Dry with a round brush ( for smooth­ness) or fin­gers ( if you want waves).

Lift a sec­tion of hair two inches in front of your crown, and spray with dry sham­poo; pros love it for tex­ture. Use a teas­ing brush to comb down­ward once. Re­peat all the way back to the crown.
