Cosmopolitan (India) - - LIFESTYLIST -

Nitasha R Prasad is a sassy Fiji- Indian woman, who has launched Wise Girl, an online shopping portal for her cute and funky T- shirts and cardigans... Cosmo: How did you become a designer and start selling online? Nitasha: “I’d been modelling for local designers where I learnt that you can express yourself through fashion. I wanted to create something where women felt empowered and gave them a chance to define themselves before others did and that’s how Wise Girl was born.” C: What has been your design inspiration? NP: “Each design is inspired by my own experiences, and I believe they’re something that women can relate to. The name of the label comes from a quote by Marilyn Monroe: ‘ A wise girl kisses but doesn’t love, listens but doesn’t believe, and leaves before she is left’.” C: How can women in India shop for your products? NP: “They can log on to etsy. com to shop from Wise Girl. The graffiti tees and tanks are priced at ₹ 1,250.”
