22-year-old actor Vivaan Shah is nothing like the grave forensic doctor he plays in the comedy thriller Saat Khoon Maaf, at least not in love. He’s the first to admit he believes in all of love’s clichés. My most memorable Valentine’s Day... I’ve only had good Valentine’s Days, though I’ve had terrible dating luck on other days. I think it’s because I believe in V-day strongly. I know a date’s going well when... We’re both so unselfconscious that we skip the small talk.

Love is... Passionate. It’s about having fun, being challenged, feeling excited by who you’re with.

On being down with love... It’s not cynical to feel down with love, it’s practical. The fear of rejection consumes us all. But you can’t get out of the game just because love’s been unfair.

My fave love song is... That’s The Way by Led Zeppelin. It’s a great song, and I get sentimental when I hear it.
