Cosmopolitan (India) - - FAST GLAM -

Assaulting your mane daily with heat or bi-monthly with harsh colour depletes hair of keratin (the protein that keeps it strong), making it prone to breakage, says Mona A Gohara, MD, clinical assistant professor of dermatology at Yale. Sexy-hair secret: Twice weekly, use a protein mask (like Sunsilk’s, below). Set dryer to medium or warm, or iron to about 300 degrees, and use a heat-protectant spray (try Wella Professionals Thermal Image Heat Protectant Spray, ` 525), says hair stylist Sarah Potempa. Finally, wait an extra two to four weeks between colour appointments.
