DON’T LET FAKEBOOK FUEL YOUR QUARTER LIFE CRISIS.
Grainne Kirwan, lecturer in cyber psychology at the Dunleary Institute of Tech, England, argues that the pressure of social networking is
adding to our problems “We’re experts at portraying ourselves positively on Facebook. We update our status when we do anything that’ll impress our friends. As a result, we’re constantly comparing our lives
to other peoples’, fuelling the fires of a quarter- life crisis. The key is to only be friends with people who you know well— that way you’ll know the story of their lives, and not just the positive
bits they put online.”
