THE PREP: Apply SPF under your eyes every single day since sun exposure can increase melanin levels, making dark circles more dramatic. 1 Pat on a quick-absorbing eye cream to smooth out your skin. Just avoid any lotions that leave a film—like a rich night cream, which will cause your make-up to cake and peel.

2 If you’re fair, pick a pink-based corrector. If you’re dark, try a peach-based one. With a small brush, apply corrector to the inner corners of your eyes and then take it under the eyes. 3 Apply a thin layer of concealer that is two shades lighter than your usual foundation shade. The concealer and corrector combine to create the illusion of perfectly even skin. 4 Set the concealer with a fine dusting of a matte yellow-toned powder that counteracts dark spots on just about any skin tone. Sweep it under eyes with a small fluffy brush or mini powder puff.
