“I Take Care of Homeless Dogs”

Cosmopolitan (India) - - YOU, YOU, YOU -

Prachi Goel is a 24-year-old PR professional from Delhi who spends her time and money providing food, shelter and vaccinations for strays in her neighbourhood.

“For as long as I can remember, I’ve been doing everything I can to help street dogs,” says Prachi. “We have over 30 stray dogs in our neighbourhood, and I’ve had them all inoculated, sterilized, and fed for the last four years. I’d like to start a shelter for all the homeless and abandoned dogs in our part of the city.” Prachi is part of a new wave of women who have found that it’s cool to be kind. She says the ‘happy high’ she feels when she comes home to loving canines is incomparable to anything she’s ever felt. Lucky for Prachi, her parents, Labrador Dido, and cat Batman, are super-supportive, too.
