THE FUNNY GIRL NEXT DOOR

Cosmo chats with the Indian-origin actress who’s a hit on Charlie Sheen’s TV show Anger Management, and is making her way to Bollywood soon.

Cosmopolitan (India) - - COSMO INTERVIEW - By Meher Bajwa

She’s been voted one of the sexiest women in the world, has an Oscar nominated short film under her belt, has mastered the art of great comic timing, and you’ve probably watched her play one of Charlie Sheen’s super attractive (and slightly flaky) patients on Comedy Central’s Anger Management. Simply put, Noureen DeWulf has caught our attention!

“Charlie Sheen is just a really nice guy, to be honest... You can’t ask for more than that!”

COSMO: What’s it like, working with Charlie Sheen?

NOUREEN DEWULF: “Charlie Sheen is just a really nice guy, to be honest. He’s a kind and fun-loving person. He’s super funny and has the whole comedic timing thing down. You can’t ask for more than that!”

C: You play the very flaky, yet totally glamorous Lacey on the show. Which part of your character do you identify with?

ND: “I’m not sure if it’s a good or bad thing but I identify a lot with Lacey. Lacey is in LA and so am I, she’s a celebutante and a popular socialite. She’s very fashion forward too, and those are the things I feel I have in common with her. Obviously, her anger and rage are what separate Lacey from myself. On the flip side, there’s just so many things to do with a character that’s as volatile as her, and she kinda makes people want to watch her. I know I do!”

C: Lacey is always going through some kind of guy drama. What’s your take on that?

ND: “I’d probably tell her to just chill out! You know she’s got a lot of guys that she goes through and she really likes the party scene. So my advice would just be to chill out, know what you got, don’t go chasing guys and let them come to you.”

C: And what’s the best relationship advice you could give Cosmo girls?

ND: “I’m in a happy relationship right now and I’d probably say don’t ever settle. Wait until the right person comes along. While you’re waiting, spend some

time alone and get to know yourself first. Make yourself that fun, awesome person that you’d want to hang out with, and then you’re bound to attract other fun people just like you.”

C: Tell us about your personal style. Is it similar to Lacey’s?

ND: “Well, Lacey shows a lot more skin than I do. I think I dress more stylishly and conservatively than her. I’m obsessed with the same designers that she wears though, like Helmut Lang, Cavalli and Louis Vuitton, but I choose different pieces for myself. ”

C: Do you ever feel nervous going on set? Got a confidence secret?

ND: “For the first couple of days, I do get nervous because I work with a lot of big stars and I don’t know how it’s going to be. The thing I always tell myself is ‘there’s a reason they chose you out of thousands and thousands of people’, and that really helps me with confidence.”
