FEEL THE FEAR AND DO IT ANY­WAY

Use th­ese tips as your knight-in­shin­ing-ar­mour on days when you’re squirm­ing with fear, pain, de­pres­sion or lack of self­con­fi­dence.

1. Cre­ate a life grid con­tain­ing dif­fer­ent boxes that will rep­re­sent ar­eas of your life—work, fam­ily, phys­i­cal health, spir­i­tu­al­ity, fi­nances, friend­ships, etc. Set up a goal and first step in each box. For in­stance, your goal in the phys­i­cal health box could be to be more toned and flex­i­ble. Pick three boxes to start with so you don’t feel over­whelmed.

2. In­stead of be­ing a vic­tim, con­quer your mind with an ac­tionbased ap­proach and pos­i­tive vo­cab­u­lary.

3. Power is im­por­tant. Have enough power over your­self to feel ex­cited to ini­ti­ate ac­tion. Use pow­er­ful slo­gans like, ‘I am pow­er­ful and I am loved, lov­ing and I love my power’. Re­peat this aloud 25 times in the day, noon and night and feel the en­ergy of the state­ments.

4. Re­lax, be pos­i­tive, dis­tract that chat­ter­box voice in your head, ex­pand your com­fort zone ev­ery­day, take re­spon­si­bil­ity for your ac­tions.
