Cosmopolitan (India) - - CONTENTS -

When it comes to beauty, I’m not exaggerating when I say the Cosmo team is obsessed. At the office, you can always spot a team member having an animated conversation about new blow-dry techniques, nail colour trends, the benefits of HD blush versus a regular one (“So dated!”), and of course, all kinds and shades of lipsticks (we lean towards bold colours, BTW)! And that un-dying dedication to the world of hair, skin, and make-up is what we’re celebrating with our beauty special issue this month. Crammed with over 40 pages of everything get-gorgeous, our November issue has more than just a few star stories. We’ve listed the latest trends (remember to take notes from The 12 Things Your Skin Needs This Autumn, pg 240), magic-potion products ( Hey, Beauty Experts... What’s Inside Your Kits?, pg 254), celebrity favourites (Malaika Arora Khan and Alia Bhatt reveal their most hush-hush secrets on pages 262 and 281), and life-changing make-up techniques ( Best Beauty YouTube Videos, pg 266). As you can tell from this sampler, there’s a lot of need-to-know information here, and I’m hoping you take away several new nuggets.

On a more serious note, this issue also marks the launch of a very important campaign fronted by India’s top models ( Models Go Bare Faced For Cosmo, pg 232). At Cosmopolitan, we’ve always encouraged women to be confident and happy, and are disturbed to see how women are feeling the pressure to be ‘perfect’. Our campaign focuses on the importance of being secure in your natural beauty, and not hiding behind an increasingly omnipresent ‘cosmetic mask’. Would you dare to go sans make up for a week, or even a day? Tell us what you think by tweeting @cosmoindia
