When did you decide you wanted to be a stylist?
“I’ve loved fashion magazines and aspired to work in one since I was 12! I knew I wanted to be a stylist during my last year at NIFT.”
Being a stylist is your dream job because...
“I love visualising the larger picture, referencing fashion history or pop culture. We become visual story tellers. It allows me to collaborate and work with some
immensely talented people.”
What does it take to be a successful stylist?
“A good aesthetic, a sense of style, and knowledge of fashion. You need lots of energy to be able to work the long hours.”
What is your advice to someone who hopes to become a stylist?
“Stay focused and make sure you’re working purely for the love of fashion. Be prepared to learn something new every day!”
