HP extends red carpet to IBM partners
Following the sell-off of IBM’s x86 server business to Lenovo, true-blue IBM partners are being wooed by HP.
Last month at the HP India’s annual summit for enterprise partners in Dubai, 10 large true-blue partners were invited personally by Neelam Dhawan.
It is believed that Dhawan and the enterprise business team of HP had elaborate closed-door meetings with each IBM partner and invited them to come onboard HP.
“These partners were literally given a red carpet hospitality at the HP event. They in fact got more importance than the HP partners present at the event. It seems the vendor is very serious about getting these partners onboard and migrating large IBM customers to HP,” said a partner who attended the event.
