ISODA conducts regional meet
The west chapter of the Infotech Software Dealers Association (ISODA) recently organized its regional meet to discuss future initiatives.
Nityanand Shetty, Chairman, ISODA, emphasized the need for networking and collaboration while explaining his vision of ISODA 2.0 to members who could not attend the recently-held ISODA Tech Summit.
At the meeting, Manish Tandon, General Secretary, ISODA, informed the members about the association’s decision to appoint a panel of consultants who would help its members in tax, HR and finance matters.
Members of the association’s tax committee informed that they were actively engaging with the governmentappointed committee headed by Justice P Shome which is looking at ways to simplify and increase compliance with the Indian tax system. “We have been engaging with the Shome committee to highlight the taxation issues which software resellers are confronting,” said Rajesh Kothari, Team Member, Tax Committee, ISODA. The committee also briefed about its meeting with BJP leaders during which it gave them a letter on the painpoints of the IT industry. The regional meet also saw a workshop by Monisha Basakhatre, Executive Director, Prompt Personnel Consultancy, who provided tips on talent management, acquisition and retention.
