IT reseller joins AAP; may contest elections

Hari Rastogi, CEO of Bengaluru-based Starshine Infotech, and Founder of We will Act— an initiative to fight the threat posed by online retail, has joined the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP). Speculation is that he may even contest the upcoming national elections.

Rastogi has moved back to his hometown Varanasi, and has decided to canvass for the party during the upcoming elections.

“The objective behind joining AAP is to create awareness about the malpractices of online retailers. Their predatory pricing is killing small businesses. While we have complained to government at various levels, no investigation and action has been taken against the online retailers for their malpractices. Most of the country’s problems are due to rampant crony capitalism, and this ought to change,” Rastogi opined.
