Dutch consumer electronics volumes decline

Euromonitor says after the positive growth recorded in 2014, 2015 marked the return of the Dutch consumer electronics industry into another decline in overall volume terms. Most categories are included within this decline as manufacturers struggle to keep consumers interested in their products in a fast-evolving market. Only significant development was the arrival of wearable electronics. The slow recovery of the Dutch economy has also added to the struggles of the consumer electronics market. A number of small manufacturers gained volume share during 2015, especially in passive wearable electronics. Internet retailing continued recording rapid growth in the retail distribution of consumer electronics in 2015 despite falling volume sales overall.
