Es­sar Aims to Save 81% On TCO in Five Years with Nu­tanix

By uni­fy­ing the man­age­ment of all their in­fra­struc­ture with Nu­tanix Prism, Es­sar is al­ready see­ing bet­ter per­for­mance and avail­abil­ity through unique ca­pa­bil­i­ties

Nu­tanix, the en­ter­prise cloud com­put­ing ma­jor said that the de­ploy­ment of the Nu­tanix En­ter­prise Cloud Plat­form at Es­sar – a com­pany that op­er­ates a num­ber of world-class as­sets di­ver­si­fied across the core sec­tors of En­ergy, Met­als & Min­ing, In­fra­struc­ture (com­pris­ing ports and EPC busi­nesses) and Ser­vices (pri­mar­ily com­pris­ing Ship­ping busi­ness). The ag­gre­gated rev­enues of the Fund’s port­fo­lio com­pa­nies to­tal US$ 15 billion (pro­jected for FY2017-18), and the Es­sar group com­pa­nies em­ploy more than 50,000 peo­ple.

With the de­ploy­ment of Nu­tanix, Es­sar will be able to vir­tu­al­ize and man­age their en­tire line of busi­ness ap­pli­ca­tions and SQL data­base so­lu­tion hosted in DMZ land­scape. As a re­sult, the com­pany ex­pects to sim­plify their IT in­fra­struc­ture and min­i­mize man­age­ment cost by 93%, while al­low­ing for an in­crease in user pro­duc­tiv­ity by 94%.
