Dig­i­tal is very com­mon yet wide­spread word hav­ing a dif­fer­ent mean­ing for dif­fer­ent stake­hold­ers. For some, it’s about tech­nol­ogy. For oth­ers, dig­i­tal is a new way of en­gag­ing with cus­tomers. And for oth­ers still, it rep­re­sents an en­tirely new way of do­ing busi­ness. The frame­work can start right from go­ing pa­per­less & keep­ing all records in dig­i­tized for­mat, en­gag­ing with end cus­tomers, deal­ers & dis­trib­u­tors. None of these def­i­ni­tions is nec­es­sar­ily cor­rect or in­cor­rect but it is the per­spec­tive and new way of do­ing busi­ness.

There is a tectonic shift in the way we work. We ex­pect the same kind of in­tu­itive, tac­tile ex­pe­ri­ence with our work­place tech­nol­ogy that we now take for granted with our smart­phones, tablets and gam­ing sys­tems. Dig­i­tal is about un­lock­ing growth now. The busi­ness world is en­ter­ing a new era in which dig­i­ti­za­tion will mean more tasks that need to get done and less time to do them – with even less mar­gin for er­ror.

What is your Dig­i­tal Trans­for­ma­tion plan, strat­egy and the de­liv­er­ables you ex­pect or are al­ready com­ing in?

Dig­i­tal trans­for­ma­tion is the in­te­gra­tion of dig­i­tal tech­nol­ogy into all ar­eas of a busi­ness re­sult­ing in fun­da­men­tal changes to how busi­nesses op­er­ate and how they de­liver value to cus­tomers. Our plan is based on pil­lars: Cus­tomer ex­pe­ri­ence Op­er­a­tional agility Man­u­fac­tur­ing Ex­cel­lence Work­force en­able­ment Dig­i­tal tech­nol­ogy in­te­gra­tion The strat­egy is to have a res­onat­ing cul­ture and lead­er­ship. The point to sales, ser­vices and mar­ket­ing, high­light­ing apps, and an­a­lyt­ics in­vest­ments, dig­i­tal board­rooms are some of the dig­i­tal ve­neers that are lead­ing our or­ga­ni­za­tion de­rive the dig­i­tal ben­e­fits by uni­fy­ing new tech­nolo­gies into the ex­ist­ing busi­ness strat­egy, model and op­er­a­tions.
