PARTIES PRAY FOR A SUPER LEADER IN TS
Opposition parties in Telangana state are looking for “super leaders” to lead them to victory in 2019. The rush started with CLP leader K. Jana Reddy stating that a “Bahubali” would emerge to defeat the TRS and bring the Congress to power. Even as politicians started guessing who that “Bahubali” would be, other parties jumped in. TD leader A. Revanth Reddy said his party did not believe in fantasy characters but a “real leader” would emerge from within the party to dethrone the TRS. The BJP said a Yogi Adityanath would bring it to power in the state. And the CPM hoped for a leader like Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan rising from the ranks. The ruling party had the last word. A TRS leader said, “Hamare paas KCR hai,” taking off from the famous Shashi Kapoor line in the Amitabh Bachchan hit Deewar.
