FROM 17 Agri Gold assets to be auctioned

Hyderabad: The Hyderabad High Court on Thursday finalised 17 properties belonging to Agri Gold and Akshaya Gold companies to be auctioned through e-portal of the AP government. A division bench comprising Justice V. Ramasubramanian and Justice S.V. Bhatt was dealing with petitions by Agri Gold and Akshaya Gold Depositors and Agents Welfare Associations and others, seeking a CBI probe into the fraud committed by the two companies and for repayment of their deposits. The AP government informed the court that it is ready to conduct the auction through its e-portal. The bench said that 12 properties of Agri Gold and five properties of Akshaya Gold will be placed on the portal for auction. Detailed guidelines for the auction will be issued on Friday.
