3 ar­rested over fake job of­fers

Three per­sons were ar­rested by West Zone Task Force team on Tues­day for cheat­ing the pub­lic by mak­ing fake prom­ises to pro­vide jobs in for­eign coun­tries.

The ac­cused were iden­ti­fied as Mohd Ab­dul Ma­jeed, 30, Mohd Ab­dul Ba­sith, 31, and Shaik Muneer Ud­din alias Moin, 36, na­tives of Gul­barga in Kar­nataka.

Ac­cord­ing to police, the trio used to prom­ise gullible peo­ple to get them jobs like restau­rant su­per­vi­sor, ac­coun­tant, man­ager among oth­ers in Dubai, Aus­tralia, Qatar, and Saudi Ara­bia. The police re­cov­ered `55,000 and two cell­phones from their pos­ses­sion dur­ing their ar­rest.

“While work­ing in Marhaba Trav­els at Asif Na­gar, Shaik Muneer Ud­din came in touch with Mo­hammed Ab­dul Ba­sith, who was run­ning a CCTV cam­eras in­stal­la­tion busi­ness at the same lo­cal­ity. Moin pro­posed his idea to Ba­sith and said that he will give him a com­mis­sion per can­di­date, for which he agreed,” said the Deputy Com­mis­sioner of Police, Com­mis­sioner’s Task Force, B. Limba Reddy.

Ba­sith roped in his rel­a­tive Mo­hammed Ab­dul Ma­jeed in to the plan and both of them started get­ting can­di­dates for Moin.

Based on a com­plaint from a vic­tim, cases were reg­is­tered against the trio in Hu­mayun Na­gar police sta­tion and based on a tip off, they were ar­rested by the West Zone Task Force police on Tues­day and were handed over to Hu­mayun Na­gar police for fur­ther ac­tions.
