THE COUN­SELS FOR ALL the 12 ac­cused per­sons, ear­lier in the day, had filed a dis­charge pe­ti­tion, seek­ing that the charges against their clients be dis­charged.

RA­JASTHAN GOVER­NOR Kalyan Singh, who was the chief min­is­ter of Ut­tar Pradesh when the struc­ture was razed, has been ex­empted since he en­joys im­mu­nity un­der the Con­sti­tu­tion as long as he held the gu­ber­na­to­rial of­fice, said the spe­cial CBI court on Tues­day.

THE COURT RE­JECTED THIS af­ter which all the ac­cused lead­ers reached the spe­cial CBI court. The coun­sel for the ac­cused then filed a bail pe­ti­tion which was ac­cepted through a sin­gle or­der.

SE­NIOR LEADER MR AD­VANI and Dr Joshi did not com­ment on the day’s devel­op­ment and their se­cu­rity per­son­nel kept the me­dia at bay. The court has not passed any or­der in­sist­ing on per­sonal ap­pear­ances by the ac­cused which im­plies that the case will pro­ceed through their coun­sels.
