The Rachakonda police on Saturday arrested three realtors for forging land documents and selling it to the public.
The accused were identified as M. Kiran Kumar (37), P. Satyanarayana (43) and R. Rama Lakshmaiah (70).
According the police, B. Chandrashekar Reddy lodged a complaint with the LB Nagar police, stating that one of the suspects, P. Rama Lakshmaiah, who was president of Mallikarjuna Co-operative Housing Society, executed the sale deed by forging documents and got it registered in favour of the other accused, Kiran Kumar and Satyanarayana.
The police found that Chandrasekhar Reddy had purchased a plot from Mallikarjuna Cooperative Housing Society in Saheb Nagar in Hayathnagar.
His father, Venkat Reddy, also purchased a plot from the same housing society and later executed a gift deed in his favour.
He found that the accused had cheated him with forged documents and signatures.
M. Venkateswar Rao, DCP, LB Nagar, said that Lakshmaiah worked as the president of the society in 1983. Taking advantage of his position, Lakshmaiah forged documents and got registered the plots in the names of Kiran Kumar and Satyanarayana. Later, he sold the same plots to Chandrasekhar Reddy and his father.
The arrested persons have been remanded to custody. to
