Drunk girl stum­bles into freezer, dies

Wash­ing­ton, Sept. 16: A 19-year-old girl was found dead in the freezer of a ho­tel in Chicago in the US last week.

Fresh CCTV footage shows the girl was drunk and stum­bled into the walk-in freezer of the ho­tel, where she died, me­dia re­ports said.

The footage con­tra­dicts popular claims on so­cial me­dia sus­pect­ing foul play in her death and claims that she had been co­erced into the ho­tel freezer.

In the video, Ken­neka Jenk­ins can be seen stum­bling around the hall­ways and kitchen of the ho­tel. The 19-year-old can be seen leav­ing the el­e­va­tor alone at 3.20 am then strug­gling to main­tain her bal­ance as she nav­i­gates the hall­ways of The Crowne Plaza Ho­tel.

Ken­neka was at the ho­tel on Septem­ber 8 for a party with friends. She was re­ported miss­ing on Satur­day and found dead in the freezer the next day, MailOn­line re­ported.

The teen’s fam­ily’s lawyer told Chicago Tri­bune they will seek their own in­ves­ti­ga­tion into her death and also a se­cond au­topsy.
