DAY 6: BOTH HOUSES ADJOURNED
TD MPs on Monday intensified their protests inside and outside Parliament. Both Houses were adjourned for the day without transacting any business as TD, YSRC and TRS members stalled proceedings raising their demands. TD and YSRC members gave adjournment motions in the Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha demanding discussion on the issue of special status to AP.
It was the sixth day of washout of proceedings in the LS and as well as in RS since March 5 in the second leg of the Budget session. Soon after the Lok Sabha proceedings began, TD, YSRC and TRS members and Opposition members rushed to the well with placards and raised slogans. Speaker Sumitra Mahajan adjourned the House immediately after Question Hour till noon. After reassembling later, the same situation continued, forcing the Speaker to adjourn the House for the day. Since March 5, TD and YSRC members had been raising the special status issue and TRS MPs enhancement of reservations.
The RS situation was no different. With the stalling proceedings by TD, YSRC, TRS and other members.
