STUDENTS ANSWERING EXAMS CAN’T PEE WITHOUT TEACHER’S PRESENCE

- DC CORRESPONDENT

Students appearing for SSC examination in TS won’t be allowed to go to the washroom unless accompanied by a teacher, to ensure that they do not cheat. The staff employed to take water around the examination centres won’t be allowed to carry their mobile phones with them.

The Director of School Education has asked students to reach their centres 45 minutes before the commencement of the exam. However, students will be allowed to enter up to five minutes after the exam begins. There are 2,542 centres in the state, and each will have 15 invigilators. All centres have fans, lights, water, and toilets. The Director of School Education has asked for all photocopy shops within 500 yards of examination centres to be shut.

A total of 5,38,867 candidates — 2,76,388 boys and 2,62,479 girls — will appear for the SSC examination from March 15 onwards. G. Kishan, the commissioner and director of school education, said, “Boys employed to serve water won’t be allowed to carry their mobile phones. Students won’t be allowed to go to the washroom in groups; they will be accompanied.”
