GHMC SUSPENDS COLLECTION OF PROPERTY DATA
With officials occupied with relief operations in different areas, the GHMC has temporarily suspended the survey and campaign to upload property details on the Dharani portal in the city. The state government has stopped the survey until further orders.
Later in the day, K.T. Rama Rao, municipal administration and urban development minister, held a review meeting and asked the civic body to deploy additional teams from GHMC wings to take up intensified sanitation drive.
He instructed the staff to distribute CM Relief Kits each worth `2,800 along with three blankets to flood victims in the GHMC limits.
The kits consist of 5 kg rice, one kg tur dal, 500 ml oil, 200 gm chilli powder, 100 gm turmeric powder, 200 gm sambar powder. one kg salt, 250 gms tamarind, one kg wheat flour and 100 gm tea powder
In order to contain the possible spread of vectorborne diseases, Rao instructed the setting up of mobile medical camps. He instructed the Director, Public Health, Dr Srin-ivas Rao to coordinate with GHMC officials, and collectors.
Rao directed corporation officials to remove debris and sludge immediately by deploying additional manpower and vehicles as per requirement.
