Srid­har played a prom­i­nent role in BCCI’s var­i­ous com­mit­tees but his most chal­leng­ing as­sign­ment was as the tour­na­ment direc­tor of the 2016 World T20 in In­dia.

Srid­har’s big as­sign­ment, which made him pop­u­lar face amongst cricket fans in In­dia, was the con­tro­ver­sial “mon­key­gate” scan­dal dur­ing In­dia’s tour of Aus­tralia in 200708. Be­ing me­dia man­ager, Srid­har was praised for the man­ner in which he han­dled tough sit­u­a­tions. BCCI had threat­ened to boy­cott the tour fol­low­ing Harb­ha­jan Singh’s ban af­ter be­ing found guilty of mak­ing a racist com­ments against Andrew Sy­monds.

But the HCA cor­rup­tion charges put him un­der tremen­dous pres­sure fol­low­ing his exit from BCCI.
