In the wake of the brutal murder of a seven-year-old student of Gurugram’s Ryan International School, the Delhi government has decided to rope in retired IPS officers to ensure safety and secuirty of school students across the Capital.

Delhi Deputy Chief Minister and Education Minister Manish Sisodia chaired a meeting with several retired IPS officers of the city recently and urged them to “voluntarily” work for the cause. “It would be really helpful if retired IPS officers come forward and voluntarily help the Delhi government to ensure safety of children in schools across the Capital,” he said.
